Meet Our Team

Midwest City Eye Care Associates is pleased to offer a wide range of optometric services, eye care products including eyeglasses, specialty eyewear, frames, and contact lenses, and our experienced doctors and staff are happy to help however they can.


Dr. Jack Hopkins has a long standing practice in Midwest City serving both patients and the community. A dedicated professional, Dr. Hopkins is a board certified Diplomate of the American Optometric Association, giving the most experienced, informed and up-to-date eye care available.
 

Dr. Kathleen Yang joined the practice in 2013 after completing her residency in ocular disease and pathology. Dr. Yang takes a special interest in ocular disease management and contact lenses.

Dr. Kathleen Yang

Optometrist

Dr. Kathleen Yang grew up in San Jose, California and received her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley. During optometry school, she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and received Marchon Ophthalmic Practice Management Award. She has had extensive training in medical optometry during her externships at Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute (Portland, OR), VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (Reno, NV) and Castle Family Health Care (Atwater, CA). After completing her degree, she moved to Oklahoma to further her education with a residency in Ocular Disease and Ocular and Refractive Surgery at BVA Advanced Eyecare and TLC. Dr. Yang is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians. Dr. Yang joined the practice in 2013 and practices full scope primary eye care.

Dr. Brianna Prescott

Optometrist

Dr. Brianna Prescott was born and raised in Channahon, Illinois, a small town outside of Chicago. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry. During her time at Indiana University Dr. Prescott received top notch education with externship training across several states in the midwest, including the Vision Care Specialists of Des Plaines Illinois, John-Kenyon American Eye Institute in Louisville Kentucky, and the Indianapolis Eye Care Center of Indiana. Dr. Prescott enjoys staying up-to-date in recent research and technology within the optometric world and is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians. Dr. Prescott has recently joined the practice in May of 2022, and is excited to be back in the Sooner state practicing full scope primary eye care.

Dr. Jack Hopkins

Optometrist
Retired as of June 30, 2023

Dr. Hopkins was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma and has lived, worked and contributed to his community in Oklahoma all his life. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee after attending Oklahoma State University. Following graduation he served in the United States Army providing vision and medical eyecare. Dr. Hopkins supports our troops and has a great appreciation for their service to our country.


Dr. Hopkins is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association. He attends numerous Optometric conferences, seminars and educational meetings to stay current on the latest eye care research and technology.

Janice

Optometric Technician

Janice is honest, hard-working, and knowledgeable. She is invaluable to us and works in just about every area of the practice. She works directly with the doctors prior, during, and after the eye exams and helps patients with contact lenses. She is also our contact lens technician and you can call her with contact lens related questions. She loves to learn about people and strives to create a positive, memorable patient experience.

Liz

Optometric Technician

Liz always has a positive attitude. She has a kind and caring personality who genuinely takes an interest in the health of our patient’s eyes. She incorporates these skills and attributes into practice as a talented technician for our doctors prior to and during their comprehensive examination. Liz is also fluent in Spanish and can assist in translation for patients whose primary language is not English.

Madison

Optometric Technician

Madison is a ray-of-sunshine who cares deeply about each and every patient who enters our office. She is trained in all areas of patient care from greeting you with a warm welcome upon entering our office, to assisting the doctors during your exam, and even helping with glasses selection and adjustments--Madison is our go-to-girl who strives to make each patient's visit an excellent experience. 

Sabrina

Patient Care Coordinator

We are so lucky to have this bundle of energy in our reception area! Sabrina is at the front desk welcoming and eagerly helping all patients as they enter our office. She will greet you when you arrive and keeps things flowing to get you through your visit without delay.

Britney

Optician/Frame Stylist

Britney enjoys being able to help patients select a frame that makes them look and feel their absolute best. She takes time to ensure each patient is receiving the proper lens technology to optimize their vision and frames that feel great and fit their personality and style. She enjoys learning and meeting with frame representatives to stay current with the latest eyewear fashion trends. She looks forward to seeing the reaction when you put on your new eyewear and experience clear vision and excitement about the way they make you look and feel.

Angela

Optician/Frame Stylist

Angela is our outgoing yet down-to-earth optician who listens to each of our patients likes and dislikes to help them choose the perfect pair of glasses. She has an excellent way of getting to know our patients during their short visits to our office to find them a frame that not only looks good, but feels good to suit each individual's personality.
